Privacy policy

This website is operated by Chef Jean-Baptiste Simonne, a private chef serving the Orlando, Florida area ("we", "us"). You can reach us at any time using the contact details at the bottom of this page.

When you submit a booking enquiry or reserve a date, we collect the name, email, phone number, event date, address, party size, and dietary or menu preferences you provide. We also record the message you send us and the deposit or booking-fee amount.

When you pay a deposit or booking fee, Stripe (our payment processor) collects your payment details on its own secure checkout. We receive only a confirmation of payment and basic details such as the amount, date, and the last four digits of the card — never your full card number.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone other than the person making the booking.

Your information is used only to plan and deliver your event: confirming the date, preparing the menu, traveling to your address, processing your payment, and following up after the dinner. We may contact you by email, phone, or SMS about your booking.

We may also use your contact details to send operational messages connected to your booking (confirmations, reminders, receipts). We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing email unless you have asked to hear from us.

For text message subscriptions, see our Mobile SMS Terms. We collect your mobile number, consent records and messaging activity when you opt in. If Klaviyo is used for delivery, it processes this information on our behalf to send messages and manage consent and unsubscribe requests. Marketing texts require your express consent; entering a phone number for a booking is not marketing consent. Mobile opt-in data and consent are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Messaging service providers receive only information needed to operate the program. You can opt out by replying STOP to the sending number or contacting us by email.

Deposits, booking fees, and final payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers are entered directly on Stripe's hosted checkout — we never see or store your full card details. Stripe's privacy practices apply to the payment step.

This website uses cookies and local storage to keep the site working and analytics to understand which pages are visited. We also use Klaviyo's onsite script to display signup forms and support our recipes and offers program. Klaviyo may use cookies and similar technologies to record browsing activity and associate it with a profile when you identify yourself. Visiting the site does not subscribe you to marketing emails or text messages; those require your consent.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will keep working, though a booking in progress may need to be restarted.

Available dates shown on the booking page are derived from the chef's connected Google Calendar. Only busy/free information is read to grey out unavailable dates — event titles and details are not displayed publicly.

Bookings are stored in a managed backend (Lovable Cloud) protected with row-level security, so that records are accessible only by the chef and authorized backend processes. Public web pages do not expose customer records. Access is limited to what each process needs, and payment data is handled entirely by Stripe over an encrypted connection.

No system is perfectly secure, but we review access regularly, keep software updated, and act quickly if a problem is reported. If you believe you have found a security issue, please tell us — see "Reporting a security issue" below.

We share your information only with the vendors needed to run the service:

• Lovable — website hosting and the booking backend
• Stripe — payment processing
• Google — calendar availability
• Email delivery providers — booking confirmations and receipts
• Klaviyo — signup forms, recipes and offers, and consent management

These providers process information on our behalf and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes. We never sell your information, and we share it with authorities only when the law requires it.

We keep booking records for as long as needed to deliver the service and meet ordinary tax and accounting obligations. Payment records are kept as long as required by those obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing the address below.

You can always:

• Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct something that is wrong
• Ask us to delete your booking information
• Opt out of non-essential email from us

We answer every request by email within a reasonable time. If you are in a U.S. state that grants additional privacy rights, we honor those rights the same way: just email us and tell us what you need.

This website and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top. For any change that affects how we use information you have already given us, we will notify you by email before your next booking.
